Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk whole or your choice
  • 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or 1-2 shots of espresso
  • Whipped cream ground cinnamon, or caramel sauce for topping (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.


  2. Whisk the mixture constantly until it's hot and begins to steam but doesn't boil.


  3. Brew a cup of strong coffee or espresso.
  4. Pour the hot coffee into a large mug, and then add the spiced milk mixture. Stir well to combine.
  5. Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, or a drizzle of caramel sauce, if desired. Serve immediately.
