Why This Recipe Works

This recipe excels by marrying the tender, delicate taste of shrimp with the luxuriously creamy Alfredo sauce. Sautéing the shrimp in garlic and butter enriches their flavor and highlights their innate sweetness. Cook’s Tips for the Best Results

  • Choose large, deveined shrimp for superior texture and flavor.
  • Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper to establish a flavorful foundation.
  • Be careful not to overcook the shrimp; they are ready when they turn pink and opaque.
  • Enhance presentation and flavor by garnishing with fresh herbs like parsley or basil.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use frozen shrimp for this recipe?

Indeed, frozen shrimp can be used. However, it’s crucial to ensure they are fully thawed and well-dried before cooking to prevent excess moisture.

What can I substitute for heavy cream if I prefer a lighter option?

You can use half-and-half or whole milk for a lighter version of the Alfredo sauce.  Keep in mind that this might result in a slightly thinner sauce.

How can I prevent the Alfredo sauce from curdling?

To prevent curdling, avoid rapidly boiling the sauce once you’ve added the cream and cheese. Instead, stir continuously over medium heat until the cheese is completely melted, and the sauce becomes smooth.
