HOW DO YOU MAKE HONEY GARLIC SALMON

Honey Garlic Salmon is one of the best salmon recipes that you can make on busy weeknights. It’s really easy to make in foil and baked in the oven, just like baked cod.

The ingredients are easy-to-find pantry items and salmon is always available at your neighborhood grocery stores. Salmon is also very popular fish, so you can always get fresh salmon all year round.

Foil cooking is quick and easy. I love it because I don’t have to do dirty dishes after dinner. You just have to wrap up the used foil and off it goes to trash. If you have leftover, just wrap it up and reheat in the oven the next day.

TIPS ON HOW TO BAKE SALMON WITH FOIL

This honey garlic salmon recipe takes three (3) basic steps:

  • Prep the salmon and season with salt and ground black pepper.
  • Make the honey garlic sauce, which goes best salmon.
  • Wrap the salmon tightly with aluminum foil, preferably with two sheets of foil. Make sure there is no leakage.
  • Bake the salmon in the oven.

Follow my recipe and you won’t need another takeout, TV dinner, or those expensive packaged home delivery food services. The active time is 10 minutes. Let the oven cooks for you so you can just relax after a busy day at work. Serve the salmon with fried rice or chow mein. It’s delicious!

I’ve made a number of your recipes and they’ve turned out great, but not sure why you added honey to a great tasting fish.

    Hi there,
Can I use baking paper instead of Foil? Is there a particular reason for using Foil?
    Thanks!

Yes you can use baking paper. Aluminum foil retains heat very well so it cooks faster! 🙂

This was the best salmon I’ve ever made! Thanks for the great recipe. I do have one question, why did my garlic turn greenish grey?

Hi Jennifer, some garlic tends to turn greenish grey after baking in the oven, especially wrapped in foil in this recipe.

You can serve as a main with a side dish of roasted potatoes or sauteed asparagus, or served with rice.

I have made this and it was great and very easy! Do you think it can be baked, then chilled to serve cold? I sometimes take a marinated, baked, then chilled salmon as an appetizer to holiday parties. People just cut a small portion and it’s a bit more substantial, along with other appetizers, especially if the party is near dinner hour. So do you think it would taste ok if chilled?

Hi, Living in a warm State we prefer to use the grill, not the oven. Can this be cooked on the grill while being wrapped in foil. On long do you think would be appropriate?

Yes, you can. You can use the grill. I would grill for at 10 minutes each and flip it over. Just check doneness before serving.

I’ve boiled ground beef in bulk before, but I’d never seen how to do it in the crockpot. Brilliant! Pre-cooked ground beef is such a huge time saver. Thanks for sharing this.
